Spreader refers to the device used to lift heavy objects in hoisting machinery. The commonly used spreader for lifting into a piece is the hook, sling, and other lifting rings, lifting suction cups, clamps and forks. It is widely used in hoisting industry.

(1) During the use of the reader, if the rotation of the rotary lock is not flexible or in place, check and adjust the adjusting nut, and then check the following parts:

① Check whether the tension spring of the pawl is damaged. If it is damaged, replace it;

② Check whether the transmission mechanism is stuck. If it is poorly lubricated, fill lubricating oil (or grease) at the movable connection of the transmission mechanism. If the guide pin is too tight, loosen the nut properly. If the connection is loose, the transmission pipe or other members are deformed, they shall be corrected;

③ Whether the tension of buffer spring is too small, if so, the length of wire rope connected by buffer spring shall be shortened.

(2) In use, the paint of indication mark on the indicator board of the spreader shall be prevented from falling off. Once found, the paint of the original indication mark shall be supplemented in time.

(3) For the wire rope on the spreader, it shall be cleaned and coated with lubricating oil or grease at proper time, especially at the bend of the wire rope.

(4) For the main stressed components, lifting rings, rotary locks, ear plates and shackles of rigging, under the normal use and cleaning condition, the inspection shall be carried out at least once every three months without cracks and serious deformation.
