At present, there are dozens of types of chain connection in China, but there are mainly pin connection and tooth connection. There are round pin and flat pin in the chain link of pin type connection. It is more convenient to process the chain link in the form of round pin, especially in the case of single round pin structure, because the middle connecting part is hinged, the degree of freedom of the structure is increased, and the additional bending stress generated when it meshes with the sprocket wheel is eliminated to a certain extent. But the size of circular pin structure, especially the connection part of single circular pin structure is relatively large, so it has certain limitations in use.

The flat pin structure can reduce the size, but the processing of this structure is not convenient. Unless there are strict technical measures to ensure, it is not easy to make the joint part of the link evenly stressed. After all, there are pin holes in the structure of the connecting link of pin connection mode, which makes the connecting parts of the connecting link weaken obviously. The limitations of this structure need to be made up by materials with higher strength. Moreover, the shear and extrusion deformation after bearing will make the disassembly of the connecting link of pin connection more difficult.
